Lasers used in dentistry will modernize dental care by eliminating the
need for numbing for many fillings. This will make appointments shorter
and patients can leave without their face being numbed for hours.
Lasers remove decayed tooth very precisely, so very small fillings can be placed
where they would have been larger when using a regular dental drill. This saves tooth
structure and helps make the teeth and their fillings much less sensitive. Smaller,
aesthetic white fillings will eliminate dark and stained teeth.
Cold sores and canker sores are eliminated painlessly in a single visit. Cold sores
usually will not reoccur again in the same place. Little tissue lumps and bumps (usually
on the lips and cheeks) can also be removed quickly and painlessly. Some periodontal
pockets can be helped with laser treatment.
